Floating

Jason Baum
Floating

The first thing that got my attention was that there was no sound. I find it very hard to show emotion with no sound but also there was no facial movement form the main characters. The director used a big group of people to show that the main charterer was alone and almost invisible. It looks like 3D design but there could be some 2D design for the texture and color of the balloons. There are feelings of sadness and excitement. Because the main character was an inanimate object and was made in a 3D design software, the film was able to show different kinds of emotion then if the main character was in a costume or an actor. I think that there was only on software used and it was a 3D design software.

The Crew

I am reviewing The Crew which is a multiplayer-online-open world driving game.  I was very interested in this game because it is a open world game of the entire U.S.A., and because it is a driving game it makes the map very accessible.  In this game the designers are using the new next gen gaming consoles.  They are faster but also they allow for better and more access to create online multiplayer games.  This has allowed for The Crew to become a open world online driving game.  The 3D work in this game is amazing but combined with the overall design of the open world and multiplayer it becomes a truly amazing game.
The core of the game was designed by a French firm called Ivory Tower.  They came up with the idea and started working on it, then Ubisoft wanted in a became a partner.  They have worked on the game for over 4 years and reseased in December of 2014.
I think it would be a fun job to have, working in a 3D design studio, if you choose the right one.  I don't know if I could have that job for my whole life but it seems like it would be fun.  I do know that it is not all fun because to get to the level of working for one of these companies you have to put a lot of hard work and time in to 3D design to get to that level.
